Valencias, the last orange of the season is well worth the wait! They should be firm and heavy for their smaller size and yes, they may have some seeds. They take a full year to become fully ripe, but as they remain on the tree during warmer weather, the orange skin reabsorbs chlorophyll from the leaves and the orange turns green again, beginning at the stem end. Even though they may have a green tinge, the fruit is actually fully ripe, sweet, juicy and bright orange inside. So dig in... You’ll love the Florida sunshine they bring!
